Who is Illustration School for?

Illustration School is for everybody who has an interest in creativity and learning the craft of illustration. The idea that nourished founding the online school is the simple joy of seeing what other people can create if they get the means to do it. If you want to learn how to illustrate for children’s books, this school is for you. If you want to learn how to draw just for yourself, this school is for you. If you want to foster a creative interest, this school is for you. If you want to understand how great art can be made, no matter if you are a hobbyist or professional illustrator, this school is for you.

Some of the courses require prior knowledge, which will be stated in the course details in the shop. Apart from that you are encouraged to brave yourself and discover all the creative means at your hands and make beautiful art.

Do I need specific art Material to do the courses?

If any specific art materials are needed this will be stated in the course description in the shop. Most of the time you can use any material you feel comfortable with creating. From digital to traditional to mixing mediums, everything is fine. Though sometimes it is good to leave the known routes and try something new. I do encourage taking chances and trying new materials from time to time. You will be surprised what can happen with materials you never gave a try. Be creative!

What is the difference between a self-paced and live-course?

The self-paced courses do not include any feedback and any specific schedule to stick to. You can watch the videos and do the exercises whenever you have time to. However, I encourage you to try to set a personal schedule to stick to in order to finalize the courses and make the most out of the material and knowledge shared.

The live-courses include personal feedback on all the exercises and also have a schedule you need to follow in order to receive the feedback and accomplish the course aims. The courses are designed so you can even do them in addition to a full life, with all that comes with it. However, I advise you to plan in about 3-6 hours per week the very least in order to benefit from all the feedback and course materials.
