In this class I have put together all the emotions that are great to have at hand when illustrating for the children’s book market. Before adding emotions you will learn how to draw heads and even how to design your very own in order to create and design unique characters. Heads and faces is most discussed in my meetings with art directors and one of the most important aspects in getting commissioned.

The idea to build a place that lets everyone embrace creativity has been with me for a few years already. Like many great ideas, it needed time to grow and flourish. Creativity has always been a part of me and I believe it to be a crucial part in everything we do. It is the source for problem solving in everyday situations and of course the foundation of anything art related. Illustration or simply drawing for fun is just one outlet that can lead to many more things. To ideas and opportunities we would not stumble upon, if we did not foster our creative need, a need that gets neglected far too easily in todays fast paced society.
Being an illustrator and illustration agent with an animation background gives me a broad view on the whole process. My creative path led me from university to animated movies, to the children’s book market and the journey is still on with exciting new creative adventures.
I deeply enjoy seeing other people grow and nourish their creativity, hence building this school is the most natural step for me to take. Illustration School is the place I created to pass on all the knowledge and experience I gained in more than ten years in the creative industry.
